SCORE's Study Skills Workshop will pay your students dividends for life.

The SCORE Study Skills Workshop offers a system for teaching students how to learn and provides strategies, techniques and materials educators need to make every student an academic success. SCORE emphasizes study skills because research has shown that it is one of two correlates to student success.

SCORE recognizes that every student wants to be successful. With the right skills, every student can be. Effective techniques for learning across the curriculum help students perform at higher academic levels and develop a greater enthusiasm for learning. SCORE's Study Skills materials are available in both English and Spanish.

• students learn best when they know their learning and personality style.
• students become proactive in their own learning when they learn how to learn.
• student confidence and self-esteem increases

SCORE's two-day Study Skills Workshop equips teachers to build sound learning and teaching strategies across the curriculum.

• Participants will be able to:

• improve student literacy.
• plan lessons utilizing multiple intelligence, personality and learning styles.
• build on student strengths.
• understand the theoretical basis for infusing study skills into their existing curriculum.
• teach students effective listening and communication, note-taking strategies, memory skills, and reading comprehension techniques.

All California Workshops are held in Orange County, near John Wayne Airport.
