Bringing Success to All Students

Using SCORE to Bring Systemic Change to Your Campus: Adoption Training

What is SCORE?

SCORE is a nationally validated program, successful in helping high-risk students achieve in a rich academic curriculum and graduate eligible to enter the college or career of their choice. SCORE schools accelerate high-risk students.

Why should my school invest in SCORE?

SCORE schools receive commendations on their accreditation reports. SCORE is successful with students from Title I, Title VII, Migrant, and language minority backgrounds.

    • SCORE received national validation because:
  • high-risk students successfully complete college prep courses.
  • students test out of limited English proficient programs.
  • students enroll in college at rates higher than their peers.
  • schools decrease remedial course offerings and increase college prep courses.
  • schools increase graduate rates
SCORE schools support students through a creative combination of:
  • learning powerful study skills.
  • participating in tutorials.
  • placement in a SCORE class.
  • setting personal goals aligned with their individual values.
  • timely academic and career counseling.
  • utilizing appropriate support networks
How can my school become a SCORE school?

Attend SCORE's three-day workshop; it provides the strategies, management and materials for implementation. This intensive workshop allows you to design your systemic change initiative within a flexible framework personalized to your site's characteristics, climate, and culture.

What will I gain by attending this Workshop?

During the workshop, your school team (administrator, counselor and teacher) will rethink your approach for dealing with high-risk youth; examine SCORE's management materials, framework and components; and personalize your site program using SCORE's keys to success. You will leave with your site-based "Action Plan" for bringing about the systemic change you desire.

You'll also receive a kit of materials which will facilitate implementation and management.

Where is this workshop held?

All Workshops are held in Orange County, near John Wayne Airport.
